After several days training in Germany, the team moved onto Tanvald in Czech Republic for the final round of the European Ladies Championship. Becky was currently lying in second place in the championship. She was riding really well and rode the first lap almost faultless cleaning all but two sections where she incurred a five in both and finished the lap on ten. Unfortunately it was that kind of trial for Becky where she either cleaned or fived! Championship leader, Laia Sanz came in on clean, Emma Bristow on eight and Sandra Gomez two behind Becky on twelve. The second lap faired a bit better for Becky as she only incurred the one five on section four. A dab on section’s six and eleven gave her the second best lap score of seven but her hard work never paid off as she was cruelly denied the runner up spot by one mark! The final podium scores were Laia on clean, Emma on sixteen and Becky on seventeen. Becky took home the bronze medal in the final championship standings but was gutted to be so close and just miss out on the silver. |
