Becky Cook secured the 2009 British Ladies Championship title last weekend on her MRS BVM Sherco with another win at round six, the Richmond Ladies Trial.

Becky only needed one point to take the championship but was determined to keep up her winning record. However her first lap didn’t go well as she dropped a ‘soft’ five on section four, then stalled the bike in the very next section for another five. Her first lap of fourteen was matched by Emma Bristow as they tied for the lead.

Becky improved on the final two laps to record scores of seven and four, finishing on twenty five, and edging ahead of Emma as she had laps twelve and ten to finish on thirty six. Donna Fox took the final podium position on fifty nine.

The win gave Becky her sixth consecutive British Ladies Championship title and her first for the MRS Sherco team.
