Becky Cook made the perfect start to the 2009 British Ladies Championship with a dominant performance on her MRS BVM Sherco. The Lincoln ladies trial was held in bright sunshine, with twelve tight and technical sections to complete three times. Becky got off to a shaky start with a nervous dab on the first section, but soon settled down, she took another steadying dab on section five, before cleaning the remaining seven sections. Her closest challenger, Donna Fox finished the lap on fifteen, giving Becky a healthy lead. On lap two she posted another score of two, this time losing a dab apiece on sections three and eight, with Donna losing a further ten. Becky then went completely clean on the final lap to finish on a total of four marks lost with Donna posting another lap of ten to finish second on thirty five and Emma Bristow, third on forty four. Becky's next event will be the Scottish Six Days trial next week, where she competes for the first time. |
